A great recipe. The miso isn't totally necessary. Can make it a little salty for some people. I usually but daikon for salads but always end up with a lot to use up. This is good if say you have half a daikon hanging around and don't want to trash it. I add some greens like spinach, bok choy or something at the end if I need more greens for the meal.
