Salt restricted diets can use 1 teaspoon of Garlic Salt in place of Garlic and Salt. I made it both ways and side by side tastes exactly the same. B-)

This was great. Great for chili dogs to. If you wanna a little kick to it add pepper corns to the meat when cooking it. Yummy. :ohyeaah

Should use a spanish onion, add 1/4 cup of fresh chopped cumin, 1 jalapeno, 1 banana pepper, 1 Tbsp dark cocoa and/or 1 large sweet patato

I had it with rice and it was the perfect combination for a cold and rainy day. No beans used due to my roommate not liking it that way, but it's still a great recipe.

very good I added a 12 oz can of beer as well as a pureed can of chipotalli peppers.

Very good, but less salt next time. I also only used 30 oz of beans

Pretty bland as far as chili goes. Very thick, though that's not necessarily bad. Way too many beans in this recipe.

I added some cumin, cayenne pepper and celery, which turned out really well. This recipe will NOT feed 20 people as it is, it only half filled my crock pot, so keep that in mind if preparing for a crowd.
