Technically sushi refers to the rice only. Sashimi is the raw fish. lots of sushi contains sashimi. Sushi is one of the most awesome foods. :excited

I love sushi, but have never tried making it. I'm going to try this, your instructions make it seem easy. Looks really good.

sushi is not necessarily raw fish... i eat mainly steamed or even deep fried in panko... :-)you can by an envelope of smoked salmon with the imitation crab... as someone said SUSHI only refers to the sticky sweet rice.. sushi can be made out of anything . i use crab meat sonetime with mayo and sirachi (?)... make it like a crabmeat salad. and use it as filling ... use your rice, cream cheese (americanized) and filling on a peice of nori.... yum!!!

um how do u cook the salmon fillet don't tell me u just bite it raw.? stupid directions. this revipw really needs clarification
