With nothing but dried minced onion, honey and sesame oil as the sauce I found these to be cloyingly sweet. I thought it odd that for "oriental" chicken wing sauce this didn't have any soy sauce, hoisen sauce, oyster sauce, etc. Or maybe rice wine vinegar as well. It needs something to cut through the intense sweetness of the honey. It has potential. I think I will try these again and add a splash of soy sauce and rice wine vinegar then see how they turn out. I should add that I'm not a fan of straight honey (which is practically what this sauce is), but my husband asked to try this recipe. Even he thought it needs something to balance the honey.
