My 9 year old daughter wanted to make her dad a birthday cake today. I let her use a boxed cake mix but then she made this frosting to go on top. I think she did a wonderful job and the decorations turned out beautiful in my opinion.

This is a very easy and versatile buttercream/frosting. This is also a tradtional way of making it. It takes all of 5 min to make and you can easily add to this ie: coffee, chocolate for a different flavour. if you find this a little buttery you can always add a little more sugar or essence or anything to your liking . Enjoy.
