We used Halal top round steak & Freddy's season salt. We usually like more kick/flavor in the meat than this recipe had. We have three different marinades soaking overnight. Will update when we try them this week. -Also substituted stem onions.

This is a delicious recipe, but needed a little more flavor. I added some beef base to mine, along with sea salt and pepper. I also used ribeye steak, which I sliced diagonally for more tenderness. I heaped the meat and veggies on Italian bread, topped with provolone, and then put under the broiler until the cheese was bubbly and brown. Yum!
