I had so much fun making this hearty meal! I added small cubed potatoes, carrots, green onions & bacon. Used elbow macaroni instead of Ditalini. It wasn't heavy at all. Smelled and tasted fresh & SO delicious! :positive I love making new recipes!

OK, made this by following recipe, def not right!! I'd do maybe 2 or 2/12 cans of beans def not 4!! you need to add at least 2 cans of chicken broth. I'd add some cut up spinach (handful) n some mild or sweet Italian sausage crumbled up for more flavor.
