If you have a pressure cooker you would have the same result by cooking the can covered with water for about 30 minutes, counting from the moment the steam starts coming out. Much easier and faster, but careful! Do not open the can until it is completely cold

Quicker tip: boil eagle brand covered 1 hr. Great for caramel pie!!!

if you want to do it quicker, cook it in a pressure cooker for 45 min. same result and it will save you lots of time!

You dfon't need 9 hours to boil it! Just 2 hours on the stove will do the trick too! Only point of attention....keep at all times the can under the water level! And be carefull when you open it! It's very hot, You're better let it cool down before opening it. And the pan will be extremely hot too and most burns are from steam! Enjoy and take care! Byebye. :-) :-) :-)

I find a pressure cooker great as it only takes an hour. use it all the time.
