Cookie Bouquet Icing Cookie Bouquet Icing
Cookie bouquets are pretty well-known in the U.S., but not really popular in Japan yet. You'll lose track of time thinking about what designs and colors to use.In summer, cookie dough has a tendency to become soft easily and is hard to handle. Once cutting out the shapes, return the dough to the freezer for a bit, and stick them on the egg-coated skewers once hardened. Recipe by Nemunemugorichan cookpad.japan -
Cookie Bouquet Cookie Bouquet
While in America, I completed a course in "Culinary Arts: professional baking/pastry skills". I was thinking back on when I made these kinds of cookies with my friend to sell, and decided to write out the recipe. I changed it at little to suit Japanese tastes.Hardening the cut-out cookies in the freezer before baking ensures that the edges stay well-defined and that the cookies don't break while cooking. I know it's not easy if your freezer is already stuffed, but please try to find a way to make room for the cookies, as they will get squished if you layer them. Simple & Cute Sakura-Coloured Meringue Cookies Simple & Cute Sakura-Coloured Meringue Cookies
I used a load of egg yolks for a different cookie recipe so I needed to make something to use up the leftover egg whites.I decided to make them pink for that extra cuteness.① Preheat the oven to 110°C.② The colour will fade slightly and the cookies will turn slightly golden when baking so try to aim for a slightly brighter pink colour when adding the dye.③ Cooking time will vary depending on the model of oven so please adjust accordingly. Cookie Bouquet Cookie Bouquet
One of my friends in the States sells cookie bouquets, and I've helped her work on them. I didn't recall it being so difficult because were three of us in a spacious kitchen, with each person delegated to certain tasks. When I tried to decorate these by myself, though, it was pretty tough. You might not be familiar with some of the tools and ingredients introduced here, but they're probably available online. When arranging the cookies for presentation, place a block of styrofoam, floral foam, or a handful of pie weights in the bottom of a pottery vase or pot. Try to hide the foam or weights with fluffy material like tissue paper, tulle, or foil. Stick the cookies in the styrofoam etc. so that the decorated sides are facing outwards. Decorate the vase with a ribbon. Bundling three or four cookies together in a small bag also makes for a very cute presentation. The key to a successful bouquet is getting the consistency of the icing right. Easy Spritz Cookies, Gorgeous Flowers & Hearts Easy Spritz Cookies, Gorgeous Flowers & Hearts
I didn't really like the simple coloring of baked sweets in general, and came up with this recipe while I was in grade school, thinking it'll be perfect for many celebrations, such as enrollment, commencement, etc. I've been using it as a gift during many occasions for many years ever since.Following a request I received, I listed katakuriko potato starch as a substitute ingredient for corn starch, but I changed it to cake flour since although using katakuriko starch made it easier to pipe, the grooved pattern didn't come out that well. The grooved pattern will come out better when the dough is firm. When using powdered food coloring, dissolve with warm water or water, and color it stronger. If the dough seems too firm during the winter etc., soften by adding water or milk (no more than about 10 ml) or by warming it up a bit.I made the dough in the photo by putting the colored dough between the non-colored ones. The coloring will come out nicely that way. Sparkling Cute Stained Glass Cookies Sparkling Cute Stained Glass Cookies
I wanted to make something different for a children's Christmas party, so I made these cookies. To make round holes for the Christmas tree ornaments, just use a straw! The candies might have bubbles in them just after you take the pan out from the oven, so leave for a while. When the bubbles have gone naturally, the cookies will be clean and neat. For about 15 cookies. Recipe by Mari- cookpad.japan -
Cute Candy Cookies Cute Candy Cookies
I saw a cookie with a candy window on a TV show awhile ago. I thought if it could be made with a black cocoa cookie, it'd make for a nice contrast and be really cute, so I gave it a shot. When I put the candy in before baking the cookie dough would become smashed or stick to the candy and it was quite difficult. So I changed the procedure to add the candy during the middle of baking.Try to fill in the gaps with smashed candy bits as much as possible. The baking may differ depending on your household oven, so adjust the temperature and baking time as necessary. If the temperature is too hot, the candy may burn. It might be a good idea to have candy bits left over when baking so you can fill in any gaps. For the candy, I use orange and pineapple flavored Sakuma drops. Recipe by yotiko cookpad.japan -
A Bouquet of Rose Flower Cookies for Mother's Day A Bouquet of Rose Flower Cookies for Mother's Day
I figured if I could make flower shaped bread rolls, then I could make cookies in a similar fashion with less work involved.Refrigerate all of the dough except for what you are currently working with, in order to keep it from becoming too soft, even if it's a bit of a pain to do so.The width and length listed are a basic guesstimate at best. You can also make them long and thin, and/or could arrange the amount of flower petals as you like. Recipe by Chibato cookpad.japan
