I have this weird urge towards cooking. Jilebi is considered to be a very hard dish to cook. But I couldn't resist myself from giving it a try. And woohooo!!! What a success ..its THIN and CRISPY

Ingredients

  1. 1 cupsugar
  2. 3/4 cupwater
  3. 1 cupall-purpose flour
  4. 3 tbspcornflour
  5. 1 pinchorange food color
  6. 3 pinchyeast
  7. warm water

Cooking Instructions

    Heat 1 cup sugar and 3/4 cup water in a sauce pan to make syrup

  2. 2

    In a bowl mix flour, yeast, food color with luke warm water. The batter will be of flowing consistency, not too gluish or not too thin.

    Set the mixture aside for 20 min.

    Heat oil in a nonstick and using a piping bag pour the mixture into hot oil. U can make nest like pattern.

    Once the jilebi becomes golden brown , take it out of oil and quickly soak in the syrup.
