Ingredients

  1. 3 lbBoneless country style pork ribs
  2. 1as needed Salt & pepper, for the pork
  3. 1 mediumOnion, chopped
  4. bourbon BBQ sauce
  5. 2 cupKetchup
  6. 1/2 cupHoney OR brown sugar
  7. 2 tbspDark molasses
  8. 2 tbspApple cider vinegar
  9. 2 tbspSpicy mustard
  10. 1/3 cupBourbon
  11. 2 tspLiquid smoke (available by the Worcestershire sauce in grocery store)
  12. 1 tspSmoked paprika
  13. 1 tspGarlic powder
  14. 1 tspOnion powder
  15. 1/2 tspBlack pepper
  16. 1/2 tspCrushed red pepper flakes

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Put all BBQ sauce ingredients into a sauce pan and let cook on medium, stirring occasionally. Cook for 10-20 minutes while you prepare the pork.

    Season the pork ribs liberally with salt and pepper. Preheat a large skillet over medium high heat.

    Sear the pork in the hot pan...3-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown

    Layer the pork and chopped onions in crockpot.

    Pour BBQ sauce over ribs.

    Cook on low 8-12 hours or high 6-8 hours.
