Does this cake not call for baking powder, I see you're using all purpose flour instead of self rising flour?

Hi Shantell, sorry for the late reply, but this recipe doesn't call for baking powder. most of the recipes I've tested never call for any leavening agents, but they still bake up very nice and fluffy and the end product is super moist.

What I have noticed, is it's just a matter of making sure that all of your ingredients are at room temperature and you mix your batter until fluffy, But be sure to never overmix your batter or mix it at a speed that's too high, because the end product will result in a very heavy pound cake that doesn't rise well. And when you cut into the cake it looks rubbery and undercooked, although it's not.

But this recipe has never given me any trouble, I say just give it a try and see how it goes for you and when you make it just post it and let me know how it goes.
