Most recipes require enough water to submerge the ingredients. Does the meat give off enough juice that i shouldn't worry about that?

the veggies give off alot of juices too. I like to let the veggies and the meat juices to make up most of the broth. you can add more water if necessary.

That makes sense. I did end up adding a lot of water. Turned out great.
