Spicy gratin sounds like a great idea! I think I'll try this tomorrow or so. Do you think milk or single cream would work in place of creme fresh? I don't think I can get creme fresh where i live :(

I would not use cream or milk as it would split . Creme fraish is a soft cheese . any Italian, French soft cheese that is close to double cream in thickness will do lovely that will bake in an oven. Kind regards Andy....
