Hi, what is sweet shrimp paste? Here in malaysia we have fermented shrimp paste called belacan, its dark red and very salty. Is that suitable?

Hello Mel Loovi, thank you for writing. If it is very salty, just make sure it balances it out with the sweet, by adding sugar for example. It also depends if you prefer sweet, salty, or a balance of both. If it's very salty, add little by little until u get your desired flavor. Cheers
