I like the recipe but I made sure to eat the inside of the bread to keep it fresh. My great-grandma survived the Great Depression, and she always hated bread bowls because in her day all there was was crust and they killed for the soft underbelly of sour dough

Same here...I didn't mention it in the recipie though 😂. use the dip to finish the inside bread.
