I make this lots of times (in fact, last night's dinner with grilled pork chops). In the States they sell bags of the potatoes already shredded or grated in the market (near the eggs). However, the nutmeg is what I must try with some apple compote!

I don't think I ever noticed the pre-shredded potatoes in the US! That would make things easier :P The nutmeg is really really nice! When Helge made these for us, he served it with some yogurt mixed with honey, along with the compote too! Yum!
