Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsChana dal soaked in water for at least 4 hrs
  2. 8Shallots cut into small pieces
  3. 1 inchGinger piece cut
  4. 1 sprigCurry leaves
  5. pinchHing
  6. 8Red chillies thinly sliced
  7. as requiredOil as required
  8. as requiredSalt as required

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and soak the chana Dal for at least 4 hrs

  2. 2

    Drain off the water and keep 4 tbsp aside. And rest of the Dal crush in a food processor.Do not make it a smooth paste.

    To the crushed Dal add the sliced shallots, salt, chillies, ginger and curry leaves and squeeze them in to the mixture. Add the non crushed dal also to it

    Roll them into lemon sized balls and flatten them with hands. And deep fry them in oil.
