This is an onion. We are going to dice it. Do not fear the onion.

Slice the onion into two halves. From tip until the bottom.

Hold the end and slice thinly in the same direction. Do not slice through because everything will be messy and you feel you have messed up.

Now slice in the different direction. The grains of the onion will create automatic dice.
