Heat oil in a karai. Add green chilli slit, ginger finely chopped and saute until the ginger turn brown. It will take 2-3 mins.

Add potato roundels, salt. Give it a mix. Cover and cook for 5-6 mins on low heat. Let the potatoes turn soft. Be careful not to make them over cooked or mushy.

Open the lid. Check for the doneness of the potatoes. Add milk and cook for 4-5 mins.

Add mint leaves chopped, kasuri methi, black pepper powder, butter, sugar and mix gently. Be careful not to break the potatoes by stirring.

Add fresh cream mix well. Cook for 4-5 mins. Serve hot with paratha, chapati, phulka as you like.
