Burger King - restaurant style

#ldcravings2 #mybestrecipe I call my burger 'Burger King' because it is actually THE KING of all burgers.
It's a full proof recipe that cannot go wrong. It will give consistently delicious taste with unique blend of well balanced spices. It feels perfectly moistured (unlike other burgers that leave your mouth dry and choke your throat so much that you need a fizzy drink to help it slide down!)
CAUTION : once you taste this burger, you will not like any other burger from anywhere, not even from the most popular chain restaurants. I mean it.

Steps
- 1
To make patties, heat oil in a pan, add onions and sauté till it's translucent. Add all the veggies, mix well, cover and cook till they are done. Add salt, turmeric and chilli and saute for a minute or two. Add maida, mix and cook for another 3-4 minutes while mixing frequently.
- 2
Remove the veggie mixture from heat. Mash it with a potato masher while it's still hot. Divide the mixture into 4 portions. Make smooth balls. Pat them a bit to give it Patti's shape. Dip them in slurry and then roll in the bread crumbs one by one. Shallow fry them with 2 tbsp oil in a nonstick pan on the lowest flame.
- 3
If you want to store them, lay them in a container and layer up keeping a butter paper in between each layer. Defrost for and hour or two and go ahead shallo/dip frying. Do not fry straight from the freezer, it will not fry well and get soggy. Neither should you wait till it goes down to room temperature, it will get very soggy. Fry when the temperature goes down, but it's still firm
- 4
Mix all the ingredients for mayonnaise spread. Keep aside.
- 5
For salad, boil potato chips in mildly salted water. Ensure that they do not break due to overcooking. Melt butter on a pan. Saute peppers for a minute or two. Sprinkle black pepper powder and salt. Add potato chips. Mix well and remove from heat. Add a tbsp and a half the mayonnaise spread and mix evenly. Keep aside.
- 6
Cut apart buns at the middle. Spread a little butter on both the inner sides of a bun. Lightly toast the buttered side without giving any pressure to the buns(We do not want flat buns). Apply mayonnaise spread on both sides of a bun. Put a lettuce leaf on the top, followed by a Patti.
- 7
Put a cheese slice on the top of the Patti. Top it up with the salad prepared earlier. Cover it with the other slice of the bun. Put a piece of red bell pepper or cherry tomato on the top of the bun and pass a toothpick through it piercing the bun too.
- 8
Type of mayonnaises to use : any mayonnaise that is not tangy will do. I like Veeba's burger mayonnaise, Nando's perinaise, Crosse and Blackwell Burger mayonnaise. These mayonnaise are already spiced-up. But you can also spice-up plain mayonnaise with the ingredients listed up in the mayonnaise spread section.

It tastes equally good when you spice up the home made Eggless mayonnaise. Chilli sauce can be replaced with chilli flakes and hot chilli powder if you want to make it for #Jain or #swaminarayan. Skip garlic too.
