Ingredients

  • 1/4 cupghee
  • 1, 1/2 cup moong dal soaked, paste
  • 1 cupmilk
  • 2 tbsp.Saffron infused water
  • 1/4 tsp.Caradomom powder(elaichi)
  • 1 cuphot water
  • 3 tbsp.Ghee
  • 1 cupsugar
  • For garnish
  • Pista, badam, kaju

Steps

  1. 1

    Melt ghee in non stick pan and add ground moong dal paste, stir well.

  2. 2

    Keep on stirring the halwa on low flame the raw aroma of the moong lentis should go away completely.

  3. 3

    Meanwhile, take another pan of water and bring to a boil.

  4. 4

    Now add milk to the cooked dal mixure and cook till all the milk is absorbed by the dal.

  5. 5

    Add saffron infused water and mix well.

  6. 6

    Now add in the ghee and sugar and stir well. Cook on low flame and stiring with frequent intervals.

  7. 7

    The liquid should get absorbed and now you will see the ghee getting separated.

  8. 8

    Lastly add chopped dry fruits. Serve hot moong dal halwa
