Steps
- 1
Gather all the ingredients for the halwa.
- 2
Add ghee to a pan and add the semolina. Roast on low heat, stirring continuously.
- 3
When the semolina turns a deep golden color and smells fragrant, add the sugar and cardamom powder.
- 4
Mix the sugar well into the semolina.
- 5
Now add the water and increase the heat to medium.
- 6
Cook the halwa, stirring, until it starts to release ghee.
- 7
The halwa is ready. Transfer it to a bowl, garnish with sliced pistachios and almonds, and sprinkle with crushed dried rose petals.
- 8
For the pooris, add water as needed to the flour and knead into a stiff dough. Rub a little ghee on the dough and let it rest for a while.
- 9
Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out.
- 10
Heat ghee in a deep pan and fry the pooris one by one until golden brown. Remove and drain. Repeat for all pooris.
- 11
The pooris are ready.
- 12
