Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  • 2 packscooked udon noodles
  • 3.5 oz (100 grams)thinly sliced pork (or beef)
  • 1 stalkgreen onion (scallion)
  • as neededSesame oil,
  • 2 1/2 tablespoonssoy sauce
  • 2 tablespoonscooking sake
  • 2 tablespoonsmirin
  • 2 tablespoonssugar
  • 2egg yolks or soft-cooked eggs

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut the pork into bite-sized pieces and slice the green onion diagonally.

  2. 2

    Heat sesame oil in a skillet. Add the pork and cook until the color changes, then add the green onion and sauté.

  3. 3

    Add the sake, soy sauce, sugar, and mirin to the skillet. Simmer briefly.

  4. 4

    Add the udon noodles to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.

  5. 5

    Serve on plates, top with an egg yolk or soft-cooked egg, and enjoy.
