Steps
- 1
Prep the Ingredients:
Steam the sweet potato and green peas. Once cooled, peel and grate the sweet potato. Lightly crush the peas (do not fully mash).
Grate the paneer and cut cheese into small cubes. - 2
- 3
For Perfect Texture:
Instead of fully mashing, lightly crush the peas.
This gives little bursts of sweetness inside the patties 😍If using frozen peas, simply blanch in hot water for 2–3 minutes and drain well — no long cooking required.
⚠️ Very Important:
After boiling, drain thoroughly and allow excess moisture to evaporate. Too much water will make patties soft and difficult to shape. - 4
Prepare the Base:
In a mixing bowl, combine paneer, peas, sweet potato, ginger, green chillies, spices, coriander leaves, salt, and breadcrumbs.
Mix gently to form a soft, shapeable dough. - 5
- 6
- 7
- 8
Stuff with Cheese: (Optional but Highly Recommended)
Take a small portion of the mixture.
Flatten → place a small cheese cube in the centre → seal carefully → shape into patties. - 9
- 10
- 11
Cook:
Pan Method:
Heat a pan on medium flame. Lightly brush with oil or ghee.
Cook patties on both sides until golden and crisp.Alternatively:
• Air-fry at 180°C for 12–15 minutes
• Bake at 180°C for 18–20 minutes - 12
- 13
Serving Suggestion:
Enjoy as a snack or starter with your favourite dip.
Or sandwich between two bread slices with mayonnaise, sauce, and seasoning for a delicious cheesy patty sandwich.“Celebrating winter’s comfort with wholesome flavours before welcoming the freshness of spring.”

Tips
Tips:
• Do not overcook sweet potato — excess moisture makes the mixture loose.
• Steam or lightly boil peas before adding.
• Lightly crush peas instead of fully mashing for better texture.
• Chill shaped patties for 10–15 minutes before cooking for better hold.
• For extra crunch → coat with sesame seeds before frying.
