Ingredients

  • 2basa fish filets
  • 1 tablespoonTurmeric powder
  • 4 clovesGarlic
  • 1 tablespoonbutter
  • to tastePepper
  • pinchChili powder
  • to tasteSalt
  • to tasteDill
  • 1 cupBread crumb

  1. 1

    Cut the fillets into half and score the tops.

  2. 2

    Rub turmeric, chilli powder, salt and pepper into the fish, leave standing for 20 minutes.

  3. 3

    Melt butter in a small pan. Smash the garlic and put it in the butter along with the dill. Squeeze the juice of the lemon into this sauce.

  4. 4

    Preheat the oven  to 190 degrees C.

  5. 5

    Add the sauce to the fish and let it soak in for 15-20 minutes.

  6. 6

    Dip the marinated fish fillets into the bread crumbs until thoroughly covered and place in a greased baking dish.

  7. 7

    Pour remaining marinade over the fillets and bake for 15 minutes.

  8. 8

    Broil for a further 5 minutes till lightly golden brown if desired.
