Ingredients

4 servings
  • 4large chicken legs with thighs
  • 2 tbspolive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 tspbutter
  • 5sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cupAngry Orchard Hard Cider
  • salt

Steps

2 hours 30 mins
  1. 1

    Combine butter and olive oil in a large pot on high heat. Be careful not to burn the butter.

  2. 2

    Salt both sides of the chicken legs and sear in the pot. One at a time.

  3. 3

    Reduce heat to a low simmer and add Angry Orchard, chopped onion and rosemary.

  4. 4

    Cover and allow to slow cook for at least 2 hours.

  5. 5

    Use tongs to remove carefully as the meat may fall off the bones. Place on a plate and allow to cool a while before serving.
