I wanted to learn, so I looked up a recipe from a Costa Rican chef since I’m Costa Rican! 😉 I ended up improvising a bit and changed the recipe, so here’s my version. 👱😄😉 In the end, people even asked me to make some to sell because everyone loved it. 👧

I wanted to learn, so I looked up a recipe from a Costa Rican chef since I’m Costa Rican! 😉 I ended up improvising a bit and changed the recipe, so here’s my version. 👱😄😉 In the end, people even asked me to make some to sell because everyone loved it. 👧

In a bowl, combine the sour cream, sugar, and butter (cut into pieces). Mix well.

Add the water, cream, vanilla extract, and cheese (or coconut). Continue mixing well.

In a separate small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in a little water. Add it to the main mixture, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes, stirring constantly so it doesn’t stick or burn.

Keep mixing until there are no lumps and the mixture is very creamy, like a thick pudding. Grease baking dishes with butter and divide the mixture between them. Bake for 20 more minutes, just until the top is golden brown.

My oven is very fast, so keep an eye on yours. If it’s ready sooner, take it out early.

Let cool before serving. Enjoy with a nice cup of coffee.
