Steps

Rinse the dal and boil with two whistle and keep aside.

Heat a wok with mustard oil and add methi and cumin seeds to allow it crackle.

Add chopped onion and saute till it become soft. Add tomato chopped,garlic paste and some salt Saute till it totally mashed.

Add turmeric and tadka masala powder and saute for another 5 min on low flame
- 5
Add boiled daal and 1 cup of hot water to allow it boil.
- 6
Tadka daal is ready to be served.
