Ingredients

  • 1pineapple, sliced into rounds
  • 1 cuppowdered sugar (about 100 grams)
  • 2 cupscrushed Marie biscuits (about 200 grams)
  • 2/3 cupbutter (about 150 grams)
  • 1 teaspoonpineapple essence
  • 1/3 cupcandied fruit (about 50 grams)
  • 2egg whites
  • 1/3 cupall-purpose flour (about 50 grams)
  • 1baking dish (Borosil glass)

Steps

  1. 1

    First, mix the crushed Marie biscuits, butter, and 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar until crumbly.

  2. 2

    Coat the pineapple slices with the remaining sugar and pineapple essence.

  3. 3

    In a bowl, beat the egg whites, sugar, flour, and essence for 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle a little flour.

  5. 5

    Arrange the pineapple slices at the bottom of the dish, then add a layer of the biscuit mixture, followed by a thin layer of the egg mixture. Repeat for 2 or 3 layers.

  6. 6

    Finally, add a thick layer of the biscuit and egg mixture on top, sprinkle with candied fruit, and bake at 340°F (170°C) for 15 minutes. The pie is ready.
