gandules (beans) • of white medium grain rice • of tomato sauce • pimiento stuffed green olives (as many as you like, i usually do about 15) • of water • of salt • of Goya brand Recaito (its a cilantro cooking base, usually found in a glass jar with a green lid and lable) • of Goya brand Sofrito (its a tomato cooking base, usually found in a glass jar with a red lid and lable) • of Goya brand Sazón (usually found in a box, packets inside) • a dash of hot sauce if a kick is prefered • pork chops or boneless skinless chicken breasts (get medium sized chops/breasts, you dont want too much meat inside cause you'll probably have a meat on the side)
