Chicken Scallopini with Piccata Sauce

Traditionally, this dish uses capers. However, at the time of this recipe was cooked and photographed, capers weren't a staple in my pantry yet. I used lemon juice but they're equally awesome. Another great addition to your Italian recipe collection!

    The first step is pretty easy. Boil your pasta in salted water. Now the secret of boiling pasta is you should wait until the water is boiling hot, hot and hot. Do not need to add oil into the water.

    Slice up some mushrooms rather thinly and throw into the SAME skillet you used to brown the chicken. If you see the brown bits on the pan, that's what you love. DO NOT EVER RINSE IT AWAY. Cook in high heat.

    I use half the pack when I am cooking only for two. I like the silky texture of the cream but I do not want my sauce to be too thick. Feel free to adjust your palate though. Combine together and put in 1-2 spoonful(s) of sour cream. It will change the texture of the sauce into a nice creamy white mushroom sauce.

    Masukkan cream terlebih dahulu. Saya menggunakan 1/2 kotak untuk 2 orang. Cream akan memberikan rasa creamy pada saus namun tekstur masih akan encer. Masukkan 2 sdm sour cream untuk mengubah tekstur menjadi lebih creamy.

    Originally, piccata sauce involves capers. DO use it if you have it. If not, squeeze in 1/2 lemon worth of juice. Lastly, sprinkle in your herbs. I am using fresh dill and basil. It gives a mild hint of sweetness.

    Resep piccata sauce sebenarnya menggunakan capers. Gunakan capers jika Anda mempunyainya. Jika tidak, gunakan jus dari 1/2 buah lemon. Terakhir, masukkan herbs yang Anda suka. Saya menggunakan daun dill dan kemangi segar.

    Put some pasta on a plate, top it with your chicken and generously spoon your sauce onto it. Prepare to die.

    Tata pasta di piring, letakkan filet daging ayam di atasnya dan siram dengan saus piccata sebanyak yang Anda inginkan. Nikmati! :)
