Ingredients: 1 lb small shell or elbow macaroni, cooked, drained and cooled; 6 hardboiled eggs,chopped; 1/2 small sweet onion finely chopped; 3/4 cup mayonnaise; 2 tbsp white vinegar; 1 tbsp spicy brown mustard; 1/2 tsp celery seed; to taste salt and pepper; Cayenne pepper or smoked paprika for garnish

If you enjoy macaroni salad and deviled eggs, you will really like this macaroni salad! Tastes just like the two were combined!

1 lbsmall shell or elbow macaroni, cooked, drained and cooled
6hardboiled eggs,chopped
1/2small sweet onion finely chopped
3/4 cupmayonnaise
2 tbspwhite vinegar
1 tbspspicy brown mustard
1/2 tspcelery seed
to tastesalt and pepper
Cayenne pepper or smoked paprika for garnish

Cooking Instructions

Place macaroni, eggs and onion in a large serving bowl. Combine remaining ingredients except cayenne or paprika. Mix well and add to pasta mixture.

Mix gently but well and allow at least 2 hrs to chill before serving.

Garnish with a few dashes of cayenne or paprika.

I love deviled eggs, and I like egg salad though I think the flavor is often ruined by adding huge chunks of celery and way too much sweet relish. I've adapted my own deviled egg recipe into salad form, and it is now what I personally prefer as an egg salad. Serve on crackers for a little textural crunch.

Have you went to make deviled eggs and part of the hard boiled egg is torn by peeling the shells off? If so here is a good way of dealing with it. Slice the messed up part off and put that messed up part in to the salad part. I would have had 12 deviled Eggs in the salad but only 7 of them were not messed up so the other 5 egg halves went into the salad mix.
