Pretty easy, I used hot glue to hold them together. Make great gifts also. Lol

Yes. Just be sure the center piece overlaps the ends of the candy canes.

I hot glued the edges of the center star to the ends of the candy cane.

How do you hold the candy canes to the center star? You would think that a little hot glue against their weight wouldn't be a strong enough hold to keep it together.
