WOW! What a fabulous late summer (can't bear to say early Autumn yet) recipe. I love the jamming stool, proper preserving technique. Great recipe.

Wonderful taste - so many family memories of damsons - pies, crumbles, jellies, jams.... <3

What are Damsons for fruit please? I live in the Netherlands, Europe and have never heard that word. Mayby we call it different, but i van't see the type of fruit.
Thanks in advance. It looks delicious! I hope it will be grapes cos since we've been to Orlando, i'm totally adicted to peanutbutter and grape-jelly sandwiches!
And i can't find a good recipe for the grape-jelly, since they don't sell that in my country. So i've to make it myself. 👍🏻🍀🍽😋👋🏻🇱🇺.

Damsons are small purple plums, they are less sweet than most plums and not many people eat them raw but they make lovely tasty pies and crumbles. Find a different recipe if you use grapes , they would need more pectin. Hope you find some damsons Jan
