Why didn’t you poke it after you flattened the dough,for the zaatar to sit in the holes?

To be honest I don’t know why people poke the flatbread I didn’t see much difference :/ it’s a step that I do randomly sometimes and forget other times 🙄

It’s so the zataar sinks into the sockets, makes it rise with little hills and prevents spillage too.
