Spaetzle! If you don't have a spaetzle maker, you can make do with a colander (the kind with the holes as opposed to the other types with mesh or a grid pattern). Just pour in the batter over the boiling water and work the batter through with a spatula.

For best results, I would use a spaetzle maker their at BBB for $7.

BBB is Bed Bath and Beyond? I should look into that. I had imagined a large, expensive contraption that I would use once a year.
