Is apparently possible too make cut out - round or heart shaped Shortbread biscuits made within a egg into the Shortbread dough too bind - the adding of Ground Almond and grating of some Lemon Rind,or the Rind of a Orange,could use the Rind of a Lime - I suppose.These Shortbread biscuits may only take between 12 - 15 minutes in a very hot oven,serve cold with Strawberries and Cream,just learnt on Lisa Faulkner's and John's Cookery Show at the Weekend,early July 2020.

Have just baked the Shortbread in my Skillet with baking paper underneath inside the pan for 1 hour,not sure if it is done - have sprinkled more granulated sugar over the top - will continue too bake at Gas Mark 3 for another 15 to 20 minutes and then let it cool down overnight in the Skillet.

Was my first attempt at making Shortbread with the 5 - 4 - 1 method (of 500g etc.),did bake at Gas Mark 3 which is a very low oven temperature,did bake it for about 1 hour and 30 minutes,maybe it required another 1 hour and 30 minutes,so 3 hours baking time - the Shortbread was edible,but looked dense - with a dense texture,the Photo depicts my first attempt in early July 2020.

I did not rub in the Butter with the flour with my finger tips,hence it being more dense than it should be,might have turned out well if I had baked it for 3 hours,is not a Recipe to get right straight away.
