I was wanting to roll in kinako. I bought soy powder but when I tasted, it tasted green like grass and not sweet like I remember. Do I have to toast it? Did I buy the wrong product? It is light brown. 🙄

If the product is labeled 'Kinako', it should have been roasted. However, I have seen soy bean powder that is not roasted. If it tasted like grass, it could be ground raw soy beans. I have no idea how to use it, Joan. I would try to roast it in the fairly low temp oven.
