Do you add any water or what do you add to make more of the sauce

How can u cook 4lbs of shrimp AND 4 corns with only 3 cups of lime juice? That's not even enough to cover the shrimp while cooking not to mention once it reduces.
Ashley
Ashley @cook_14476698
I tried this recipe WITHOUT the 3 cups of lime juice and the 4 sticks of butter in the recipe was enough to cover 2lbs(jumpo shrimp)... so I’m pretty sure the 3 cups of lime juice PLUS the 4 sticks of butter will cover 4lbs of shrimp..

True. You don't need to cover all the shrimp with water. The steam from a little bit of liquid is all you need to cook all the shrimp. (Plus that way you get more concentrated shrimp flavor because it doesn't get diluted by all that water.)

Has anyone found the recipe a little too lemony?
Evelyn Gtz
Evelyn Gtz @cook_16590881
YES! I don't know if I did something wrong or something but it came out pretty lemony for me.

Yes o my goodness, we used 1 1/2 cups & still had to re-make the sauce without lemons.

Did you mean 4 cloves of minced garlic or 4 entire bulbs?

Priscilla Hernandez Villa @cook_25024960
Yes I just made this yesterday and sounds like there’s not enough of a liquid but trust me it’s enough

Question, if I want to make it with 8lbs of shrimp, do I just double each ingredient? Will using unpeeled headless shrimp make a difference?
Minda
Minda @MindasKitchen6370

This recipe is the absolute best I’ve tried. I’ve used it twice in the past week and made extra to use with some king crab today. Thank you!!!

not a question but it was a very good dish i made it yesterday night and YES the lemon juice and melted butter is enough of a liquid so no need to add water to it unless u don’t have enough lemon juice I would recommend half a cup of water if u absolutely have to either water by it’s self or mixed with artificial lemon from the bottle

I can't wait to make this tonight. I want to add baby potatoes. Which step do you think I should add them too?
Diego Vila

I like how straight forward this was. I added a chili pepper and siracha seasoning. Also I did a full seafood boil with squid, octopus, crab, and lots of other stuff. Was amazing!
Minda
Minda @MindasKitchen6370
Yes of course. You can use any seafood and it should be fine.

Add one of each of the spices. For example instead of 3 tbsp make if 4 and so on. I usually add them taste. If it’s still not spicy enough I guess u can keep adding

This recipe is very flexible. I've made it more than once and, except for the first time, I've had to sub or omit some ingredients bc I didn't have them on hand and it's always come out delicious. For me, the key ingredients are butter, garlic, lemon juice, Cajun seasoning, and lemon pepper. The rest can be in adjusted or substituted to your liking.

Why every time i cook this though i followed every step, the sauce still looks dry
Minda
Minda @MindasKitchen6370
I don’t know what to tell you. I never have that problem. Also in your kitchen it is up to you how much of the ingredients you want to use. Specially the lemon juice and butter. It’s really up to your own taste. The seasoning is the key to the entire recipe.
