Hi there, I just made this soup last week and it was so good and tasty. My beans may of been on the cupboard a bit and getting tender was a hard one, so i threw them in the cockpot and they cooked over night and turned out great. Then i continued to make my beans with the veggies..i also used some potatoes cut up too. I did cook bacon and crumble it up and cooked my onion and carrots, and potatoes in some bacon grease ..put i a the beans (because they were already tender) then the 6 cups of water and cooked for about 45 min. To get veggies tender, and also the salt and pepper. Best i have ever made. Thanks for the receipe even though i did it a bit different because i was not going to throw out my beans. They were so yummy. 🙂🙂.
