If I am okay with the resulting sugarless taste, can this recipe work without any form of sugar?My friend made a batch without the sugar and the cookies kept on crumbling. Does the powdered sugar act as an adhesive?

It's crumbly. They don't stick together. Did you use glutinous rice flour?
