I was about to ask you if we can eat cold, You already wrote in here, (yes we can) . We have different kind of eggplants in Turkey, they are also called Italian eggplants, when i visit Asian grocery store I see long ones,are they Japanese ? .. (I was always afraid to cook them .. ) :D probably I will go and look at your Dashi Stock recipe too..Thanks for sharing..

Thank you! Is that eggplant about 15 cm long? Japanese one is really tender, and Italian one might be longer than Japanese one. But you can try this recipe(^^)
