I assume that you have made it - I have just bought the ingredients and hope too make that Salsa later in the day.Have never made,or tasted Salsa before,27/8/20.

My Nutri Ninja Blender has a pulse - a pulse button on it,so I used this instead of my Tefal Food Processor.Can use a Pestle and Mortar,but will probably not have any chunky bits in.Having said that - you don't have too pound and grind the red onion and tomatoes,just chop them into small pieces with a sharp Knife.
