My family loved this dish. I substituted the breasts with leg quarters. I used boil in a bag brown rice, 2 onion soup packets & 2 cans of mushroom soup.

Rice was under done, had to remove chicken and cook rice longer. My husband liked it, but I wasn't a big fan of all the flavors.

I loved it, wife hated it. In her defense I used cream of mushroom, forgetting she hates mushrooms... :whistle

I used a package of yellow rice, added an additional 3/4 cup of white rice, and used fresh chopped onion. Used cream of mushroom soup, and added 1 cup of shredded colby cheese on top. It came out great! The family loved it. Will make again.

Not too bad. Hubby enjoyed-thats a plus. Next time will mix dry soup mix with cans of soup. The chicken had a coat of arms on it ha ha. I also used cream of chicken & cream of celery soup with two cans of milk.

Huge hit in our home! I always add broccoli or whatever vegetable I have on hand. ♥

Tamm87 @cook_2991689
I just made this today, added cream of broccoli soup to rice, frozen broccoli on top of that, and used two cans of cream of chicken soup with two cups of water, didn't use the onion soup mix and added shredded cheese on the top. I'll be making this again :positive

I made this tonight and followed the recipe except I used cooked chicken instead of raw and used quick cooking brown rice. Baked it for 40 minutes. It was delicious!

Brianna Klaras @cook_3142791
I enjoyed it but it was pretty dry. I would add another can of soup.

The chicken flavor was great however the rice was a little over done and starchy

I was surprised! Made this very quick. I used brown instant rice and not quite a full envelope of soup. I also added a can of mushrooms over the top. :-)
neelycole @cook_3682015
I first rubbed the chicken thoroughly with a tbsp olive oil, 1tbsp salt, fresh ground pepper, 1&1/2 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp cumin, and 1 tbsp chili powder...set to side! I then mixed fiesta cheddar soup instead of cream of celery; along with the 3 cans of water, with 1/2-1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp margarine, a pinch of salt, and fresh ground black pepper. Use margarine to coat 9*13 pan, then spread uncooked rice along bottom...stir in wet mixture gently with fork (leaving 1/2 cup for on top of chicken) . Add seasoned chicken on top, pouring leftover cheese sauce on top. I covered mine with foil so moisture would steam rice and chicken...VERY MOIST!!
sugarhiii @cook_3875469
This was very easy to make, but seemed to lack in flavor for me. I feel like the rice was a bit plane. It makes a lot of food though so that was a plus.
tlepire @cook_3917842
Ended up being very dry. I added mushrooms which helped a little with flavor. I won't be making this one again.

uska @cook_3939592
Seriously! An oldie but a goodie! Used cream of mushroom and supplemented one can of water for chicken broth.Season the chicken before you put it in...always a hit.

wenndawg @cook_3960418
I made this and it was delicious, a little dry, but delicious. I poured gravy on the chicken before serving. :positive
