I often burn the top of cakes (I'm not a great baker lol), I find a dusting of icing sugar covers a lot of sins and it always tastes great anyway! Your orange cake looks beautiful and not at all burnt 😍

I've had a couple of cakes where the top has almost burnt too, I find a good trick is to pop some tin foil over it once it reaches the desired colour on top 😍
