Darlene333, I would like to try your recipe for Peach Cobbler, but how do I bookmark it from a review?

Darlene333 @cook_2788943
The recipe I use is for 4 cups of fruit, 3/4 c. EACH of sugar, self-rising flour (extremely important), and milk, & 1 stick of margarine. Cut fruit and cover with 1 cup of sugar...and stir. Cover, and let this sit for about 3 hrs (the sugar brings out the juices of the fruit). When fruit is ready, pre-heat often to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. In a medium size bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and milk; and stir till smoothe consistency. Put marg. in baking dish, and put in oven. When margarine is completely melted take out of oven, and pour in the mixture of flour, milk and sugar. Do not stir! Next, pour in your fruit, and again...do not stir! The crust will rise from the bottom, beautifully. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. **If you do not have self rising flour, use the same amount of plain flour plus 2 teaspoons of baking powder.** Trust me, by not stirring ( between steps) you will see a huge difference in your results. :positive

Alicia Burdette Brumfield @cook_3046740
Did just as recipe called for and it came out very thin and had no flavor.

awindrim @cook_3097386
was awesome! added a dash of cinnamon and vanilla extract which made it really tasty and complimented the peaches :D ~(o.o)~

I have made this with a combination of peaches & blackberries; I don't sweeten the fruit, with sugar, but use a couple of tbsp of brandy, which does sweeten. I also use good vanilla in the fruit mixture, 1 tsp.

Wish I would have taken a picture, this came out wonderful! Darlene333 is right, mix the flour, sugar and milk in a bowl first until smooth, then pour into your pan prepared with the melted butter, Do not stir, then put your peaches in without stirring again, I topped mine with half a cup of brown sugar and 1 table spoon of cinnamon, delicious :ohyeaah

This is the easiest dessert I've ever made! I had to use canned peaches because my grocery store didn't have any fresh ones in stock. But I used Del Monte harvest spice peaches that are already seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg and it was delicious!

this recipe is wonderful. .I made it yesterday to my guests and they loved it! I added two teaspoons of baking soda and I didn't have peaches so I made it with 5 apples and I sprinkled cinnamon...I will definitely make it again. .

elke.mclaren @cook_3290177
delicious! I have three teenage boys and they wolfed this down. I followed other suggestions and added baking soda, nutmeg, vanilla, and cinnamon. I used fresh peaches which were not very ripe but it turned out great!

this recipe is like the one Paula Deen made but in stead of just flour she used self rising flour or added baking powder to the flour, she didnt stir in the peaches, that would make the peaches fall to the bottom if you dont use baking powder. I made her recipe & it was devine. :nod

hamptonlisa @cook_3354940
Sounds bland where is the cinnamon or nutmeg. From a african amercian person sounds like it needs some spice.

kayelynn.ogden @cook_3483247
Amazing dessert. I did add the 2 tsp of baking powder and a dash of cinammon and it was Outstanding

kristinew @cook_3517352
This is the strangest cobbler I've ever had. The texture resembled tofu and the peaches just sank in the mush. My family who LOVES to eat wouldn't touch it. Maybe I did something wrong but I won't be making this again.

ladonnajk @cook_3525853
I use canned peaches, and add them after the butter melts (with juice -2 cans of peaches). I then mix the remaining ingredients with a mixer. I then pour the mixture over the peaches in the pan. I call this recipe Busy Day Cobbler.

kdsmithjr @cook_3487411
tried with cebu mangoes here in Philippines. the recipe works but try 3 mangoes for better result....at least with cebu man goes

madrissa @cook_3579963
I made this adding 1tsp baking powder to flour and mixing 1/2cup sugar to sliced peaches. Loved the crust. Took a little longer to cook than this allowed time.

megtaylor2011 @cook_3615279
I followed the recipe and it took an extra 30 minutes to get done and it was still doughy. I think next time I will add some baking powder and seasonings

mercedes1969 @cook_3620903
This was a delicious recipe although I did add Alittle cinnamon. My mom loved it. I only had one or two pieces and she finished the rest.

tiny12 @cook_3915572
Well so much for following directions. The receipt didn't call for baking powder or self raising flour so i didn't use either. Needless to say i will be trying it avain with one of the two missing, very imporgant, ingredients. The soggy sugar dough was tasty

tracysims @cook_3926625
very good. had to tweak it a little. had to add baking powder and a little bisquick cuz it was mushy.

yeyasal @cook_3976689
I agree with a previous comment, it had a tofu texture. I will not make it again.
