used 3/4 stick of butter. Added a few extra spices. it turned out great! making it again tonight.

AngieT8977 @cook_2719828
Amazing! Has to be one of the best I have ever tasted. Only use half the butter and double the cream chez. YUMMY! ~(o.o)~

BlueMoonBaby @cook_2738803
no cream cheese. I use parmesan and romano the finely grated kind you find by the deli. always a hit with my family of picky eaters

Beth86 @cook_2734777
Stick with recipe though .. i decided to put flour in it to thicken it that was horrible....

Chef willis7479 @cook_2769925
Disgusting... All that butter ewwww... You don't even need butter

David Boehler @cook_2789643
I didn't use cream cheese and I finished with white Truffle oil. The technique is the same tho. Love alfredo!

Deidsness @cook_2792582
Super easy to make and delicious. But beware this is not a healthy dinner by any means.
Pamandpaul @cook_2937040
Great dish... No complaints... But a hint of vegetable stock will take your sauce along way... With small chicken strips and very fine slices of chorizo sausages add that little bit of a punch...
Sarebear88 @cook_2967351
Its really good with fixed tomatoes, makes it nice and tangy taste just like East Side Mario's! (:

amommy42 @cook_3060137
very good. incredibly rich. I thinned it down a touch with some pasta cooking water. added chicken, mushrooms, broccoli and extra garlic (fresh). will make again.
bluedave @cook_3129985
I made this for a potluck at work and everyone loved it! I had 11 people ask me for the recipe. :-)
brandi.harmon.39 @cook_3137904
A 1/2 teaspoon of salt added will really help to bring out the flavors of the other ingredients.
ccsimp2 @cook_3171288
Awesome, I replaced the cream cheese with Borsin garlic and herb cheese spread, Alouette garlic and herb would work too. use unsalted butter if you don't like too much saltness. Really good stuff.
cookie541 @cook_3211283
This was very tasty. I sauteed the broccoli, mushrooms and shrimp separatly. Then put that on top of the sauce. I thought the sauce was a little thin, but in no way did it take away from the flavor.
davidhowardshapiro @cook_3240739
This ia an awesome base for anyone that does not know how to make alfredo sauce. I made it to put over broccoli and pasta, my wife loved it!

debrajane @cook_3247426
We loved it but next time I will use a lot less butter..This is definitely a keeper.
donchuck1012 @cook_3268786

crystalyj30 @cook_3222240
love, love, love this recipe! the only thing that I changed was omitting the cream cheese. I had no idea alfredo sauce was so easy to make. I will never buy the jar stuff again. ~(o.o)~

David Street @cook_3239262
Delicious! Used half the butter and double the cream cheese. sauteed red peppers with the garlic and mushrooms and added broccoli and shrimp. Holy Toledo. Definitely restaurant quality sauce!

dsprice @cook_3276135
Yummy, but how could you go wrong with cream, butter and Parmesan cheese... not a very dietetic dish!
hootsaidtheowl @cook_3372968
made this today for lunch. everyone loved it. my little one who usually eat the pasta plain couldn't get enough of this
jennfunderburk @cook_3419656
First time ever making anything like this and it was awesome. i did make a rou(not sure of spelling) to thicken it a little. My 8 year old daughter said, "now this is restaraunt quality."

jeffzirbes @cook_3416496
I cut the butter by 1/3, sauteed shrimp and scallops in the garlic and mushroom mix with 1/4 cup white wine and thickened the sauce just a bit. This is a simple and tasty keeper! Serve with garlic toast.

jennycarlene @cook_3422299
This is one of my dads favorites. I made it last night for dinner and it was such a hit he is having me make him some more tonight with the leftover sauce.

juggalobill22 @cook_3461267
It was great but I tried mixing some crushed tomatos to it and it turned out excellant :chef
juapo2 @cook_3460305
Delicious. If you're in Mexico you may not find heavy whipping cream anywhere, yet fresh cream will do the job perfectly. In my opinion it's way too much butter, next time I'll just use half.
khandley @cook_3497923
wonderfull, easy and so much better then the stuff in a jar at the store!! we dont even usually like alfredo but i love new things so i gave it a shot! thank u

MysTerry @cook_3598098
OMG!!! This recipe was perfect! So much flavor. I used some Penne pasta along with shrimp and chicken! Definitely will be making this again!

mary.sierengowski @cook_3601107
This is by far the most amazing Alfredo sauce I've ever tasted. Whenever I cook it the whole family piles in for a plate. Definitely worth 5 stars^-^
rachelkays87 @cook_3749664
This sauce was the bomb dot com!! Restaurant quality taste, easy to make. I'm never buying Alfredo sauce in a jar ever again. This sauce was a hit!
shleaneagh @cook_3837557
Excellent, like many others, I used half the butter. I minced the garlic, and added minced onion. This recipe turned out perfect!!!
veronica_709 @cook_3946227

Mela09 @cook_2903369
