In my country we add Worcestershire sauce, a little bit of ketchup and clamato. We put avocado on the side and some hot sauce if desired.

I love the way you ladies are thinking. Also add a little garlic and salt to enhance the flavors. :chef

i soaked the shrimp in 1/2 c. lime juice for 4 hrs. then drained and discarded juice before continuing with recipe because a teaspoon of lime juice will not cook a cup of shrimp and may make you sick! i also added jalapeno peppers for some kick. other than that great recipe! :suspicious

It would taste better with some ketchup so it gives it little bit more flavor and makes it less sour. :-)

this is not the traditional way to make shrimp ceviche. it consists of onion , avocado, cilantro, jalapeno, cucumbers, and lime juice. dice all that stuff up including the shrimp and put in on top of saltine crackers or corn tortilla chips and then you add tapato hot sauce or valentia sauce on the top. my family is from mexico and we make this on a regular basis.

using the basic recipe I like to also add crab, cucumber, red onion (instead of white or yellow) , tobasco, diced jalapenos, diced tomato, v8 spicy, dash of lawrys season salt, cilantro, lime and lemon, a dash of celery salt even adds to the flavor.

I prefer doing the fish or shrimp in little cuts. thatway the lime juice will can cook the shrimp thoroughly. plus add a tablespoon or two of valentina hotsauce gives it a little kick. and cutt the veggies in very small cubes just mixes the flavors so your not just tasting the jalapenos or onions alone.:). I love making ceviche. such clean eating
