My mom always had this recipe but she always used blue berries and I always asked why not strawberries but she stuck with her original recipe- white cake mix and all.

this recipe is on Paula deens site. I made it for July 4th and why cake tasted good there was too much liquid and when I was putting cake together it literally fell apart. I was soooooo disappointed. and the bake time wasn't even close. I had to bake it for an hour. I've never made a cake that didn't turn out perfect. this was the first. but good taste.

This was the best strawberry cake EVER!!!! My husband hates cake, but will occasionally eat strawberry. He said this was the best cake he had ever had!!!! This cake did not last through the evening!!! Highly recommend!!!
